Divorce Rock

The trail get's interesting soon after leaving Ershim Lake. First there is a nasty stretch of boulders to climb then the infamous Divorce Rock. This "whale back" rock formation requires driving out a granite spine before turning sharply down the side at just the right moment. It's a blind drop for the driver so a spotter is a very good idea.

Everyone in our group went down without a problem. I can only imagine how the obstacle got its name.
