Surf N Turf 2004

Sponsors and Support

Surf N Turf is an informal gathering of Land Cruiser enthusiasts. There is no cost, fee or formal registration, just come out and enjoy the beach and dunes with other Cruiserheads.

We don't have a raffle and we don't collect money or attempt to raise funds. However, we still enjoy the generous support of a few cruiser-oriented vendors and groups. The foremost being the Toyota Land Cruiser Association.

Although most attendees are members of the TLCA (and everyone else is strongly encouraged to JOIN NOW), SnT is not an officially sanctioned TLCA event. Nonetheless the TLCA and the Toyota Trails magazine are very supportive and really help get the word out. Thanks TLCA!!!

Advanced Adapters donated a $100 gift certificate and some very cool Orion T-Shirts. These donations enabled free drawings on the online forums to help generate interest and promote the event.

The gift certificate was a nice consolation prize for Eric V. who couldn't make the event in person.

ARB USA generously donated a pair of IPF extreme off road driving lights. Everyone participating in the aerial photoshoot received a free chance to win this great prize. Congratulations to Allan C. with the lucky number!

West Coast Cruisers provided three one hundred dollar cash prizes during the event! Michael Hein polled participants throughout the event to determine the coolest and most unique cruiser. It was such a tough choice he eventually added a third prize rather than pick only two winners!

Please remember and support these vendors when its time to modify your cruiser. We also want to thank the numerous individuals who donated other items, and more importantly their time, to help make SnT such a great event.

For example, Eric Hassett graciously donated several nice Maglights from his Palo Alto Hardware store. The lights were distributed to the local Cruiserheads who helped set up tents, tarps and hauled firewood. The small group of locals also staffed the poker run checkpoints and helped with chores throughout the weekend.

Another important part of SnT is the on-line Land Cruiser forums. If you're into Cruisers check out these forums. Special thanks to DogWalker at Pirate4x4 and Woody at IH8MUD.COM for their support!

For another on-line resource about Land Cruisers, please check out the Land Cruiser Mailing List (LCML) and birfield.com. Both the LCML and birfield.com are specifically designed for owners, users, or enthusiasts of Toyota Land Cruisers. It's a great place to learn about Land Cruisers.

Help keep the Oceano Dunes open to OHVs. Please support the Friends of the Oceano Dunes. These volunteers work hard to protect our interests and deserve our support. Your generous donations are making a difference!

Their objective is to unite the many people who enjoy the Oceano Dunes in a cohesive organization that can promote and reinforce responsible recreation. This is accomplished by developing a large network of FRIENDS and collecting donations to accomplish their objective. The FoOD supports ALL forms of responsible recreation and works hard to ensure continued access to the ODSVRA.
